

Hello, my name is Lydia,
Riding The Trauma Train was created due to my
own healing journey.
I am a survivor of childhood trauma & was trying to find my own path, as a working mum of two beautiful girls,
devoted wife of over 2 decades.
with a household to run, a day job & my own fitness goals.
I was still being triggered daily, I was lost.
For a long time, I thought healing meant pushing harder, coping better, being “fine”. But trauma doesn’t work like that. It lives in the body, in patterns, in the way your nervous system learns
to protect you.
Riding the Trauma Train began because I needed something I couldn’t always find: a space that tells the truth and
still feels hopeful.
A place where we can talk about triggers, survival responses, boundaries, shame, self-trust, and rebuilding a relationship with yourself, gently.
I’m doing this because I believe recovery shouldn’t feel lonely or confusing, and because you deserve support that’s compassionate,
realistic, and steady. However, some episodes may feel more triggering as we talk about highly sensitive topics, please listen with care and feel free to pause, skip, or come back when you feel ready.
